Lacey police search for suspect of armed robbery

July 13, 2013

A man is still at large after attempting to rob another man at knifepoint at the Lacey Wells Fargo ATM Friday night.

A man was using the bank’s ATM off Pacific Avenue around 10 p.m. when he was approached by a black man wearing dark clothing, Lacey Police Sgt. Adam Seig said.

“He displayed a knife, demanded money and fled on foot,” Seig said.

Seig said the suspect fled before getting any money or property from the victim. No one was hurt.

Officers brought in a police search dog but were unable to locate the suspect. Police have no further details on the suspect’s description at this time.
