Road striping work starts in Tumwater this weekend

Staff writerJuly 17, 2013

Road striping work is expected to begin throughout Tumwater this weekend, according to a city news release.

Tumwater Public Works Department and Lewis County Public Works road crews will paint roadway stripes throughout the city starting this weekend. Work is expected to continue through Aug. 2 or Aug. 3.

Crews will work between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Traffic delays are expected.

Work can only be done in dry weather conditions, meaning inclement weather could extend the work time frame.

The paint striping truck will have flashing lights and be followed by three or four trailing vehicles with wet paint advisory signs to help prevent drivers from going over wet paint.
