Two people were hospitalized after a woman allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the neck off of Pacific Avenue in Olympia early Thursday morning.
The man and woman, both in their late 40s to early 50s, work for a moving company, according to Olympia Sgt. Aaron Jelcick.
The pair are from out of town and work as a driver and packer for the moving company, according to Olympia Police Department spokesperson Laura Wohl.
The woman had allegedly been drinking Wednesday night and got into a dispute with her boyfriend in the cab of the semitrailer parked in the 3700 block of Pacific Avenue.
The dispute escalated to her stabbing him with a 6-inch serrated hunting knife, Jelcick said.
“She drove it into his neck,” Jelcick said.
Both were taken to the hospital. The man suffered a “very deep wound” to his neck, but neither suffered life-threatening injuries, Wohl said.
Doctors say the man “is very fortunate to be alive,” Jelcick firstname.lastname@example.org
