Food, entertainment not needed on the well site

OlympiaJuly 19, 2013

In response to Our View about the artesian well, I think there were valid points in the article, mainly about who will use the new facility. The current clientele are those with backpacks and bags, who lie or sit against the walls. Certainly with such improvements as the City Council is advocating, there would be no reason for the homeless/street people to move.

Leave the site as it is. The well-water users will continue to come and keep it cleaned up. Public toilets and showers are needed in that area, and they would need to be cleaned and maintained. Entertainment is unnecessary, as are food vendors on that site.

Leave well enough alone.
