Randle bicyclist injured after colliding with parked trailer

A Randle bicyclist was injured Tuesday night after riding into a parked trailer, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Paul N. Smale, 55, was riding east on the shoulder of state Route 12 nine miles west of Packwood in Lewis County at 6:12 p.m. when he hit the empty, parked trailer.

The cause of the crash was inattention, according to the State Patrol.

Smale was taken to Morton General Hospital with injuries.
