I agree with your editorial that something should be done with or to Capitol Lake. For the money that’s been spent on studies, we could already have a good start on correcting some of the problems.
I fully support retaining it as a lake. Letting it continue to deteriorate, or hastening the process by making it into an estuary, would not be in the best interests of Olympia, Thurston County or the state of Washington.
If there are still questions about what the general population wants, put it on a ballot for an advisory vote, then get on with doing something.
