Military Day discount at Thurston County Fair Friday

The Thurston County Fair celebrates Military Appreciation Day Friday, offering discounts to those serving or who have served in the military, according to a news release.

Attendees who present military ID at the gate receive $2 admission tickets. Carnival ride provider Davis Shows Northwest are also offering a one-day discount for military families, offering $5 each carnival ride armband with proof of military ID.

Bands are typically $24.

Military IDs for active duty, reserves, retired military personnel and dependents must be presented at the time of purchase to receive the discount admission tickets and the discount carnival ride armbands, the release said.

The fair is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday.
