Level 3 sex offender registers to live in Shelton

The Mason County Sheriff's Office has issued a general notification regarding level 3 sex offender, Sheldon Wayne Dods, 52, who has registered to live in the 1400 block of Edgewood Avenue, in Shelton.

Dods is required to register as a sex offender due to multiple sex crime convictions:

According to the  news release:

Dods was convicted on Sept. 29, 1989, of 1st degree child molestation. The conviction stems from Dods, at age 28, sexually assaulting a three-year-old little girl who was the daughter of a friend's friend.

On March 15, 1993, Dods was convicted of indecent exposure, at 32,  after exposing himself to a four-year-old girl who a next-door neighbor. 

Dods was convicted again on Sept. 7, 1995, of 1st degree attempted child molestation. The conviction stems from Dods, at 33, sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl who was the daughter of a friend.

Sheldon Wayne Dods is described as a white male, 5 feet 7 inches and 215 lbs., with brown hair and blue eyes.
