Washington will face at least two likely Top 25 teams on the road, head to New Orleans and play host to Connecticut during its 2013-14 nonconference men’s basketball schedule.
The Huskies will start the season against an old friend, playing host to former assistant coach Cameron Dollar and his Seattle University squad Nov. 10 at Hec Edmundson Pavilion.
Washington previously had announced a Nov. 21 game against Top 25 candidate Indiana at Madison Square Garden as part of the 2K Classic. The next day, Washington will play Connecticut or Boston College.
UConn will visit Washington on Dec. 22 for what could be the teams’ third meeting in less than a year. Washington lost to UConn, 61-53, last Dec. 29 in Hartford, Conn.
Washington will travel to Top 25 candidate San Diego State on Dec. 8 to face the Aztecs, who finished 23-11 last season and lost in the third round of the NCAA tournament to March Madness darling Florida Gulf Coast. The Huskies are 2-0 all time against the Aztecs.
The Huskies will head to New Orleans to play Tulane on Dec. 17. The Green Wave was 20-15 last season and played in the CollegeInsider.com tournament.
The trip will give redshirt sophomore and New Orleans native Jernard Jarreau a chance to play in college in his hometown.
