Centralia man detained after pot grow discovery

A Centralia man was detained after police discovered an illegal marijuana grow Wednesday, according to a news release.

The Centralia Police Department SWAT team and members of the Centralia Anti-Crime Team issued a search warrant in the 200 block of North King Street.

The resident, a convicted felon, was apprehended when he returned home.

Police discovered more marijuana plants than allowed by current law, as well as pistol and rifle ammunition, firearms cases and holsters. no firearms were found at the home.

The Centralia man was released pending further investigation, the release said.
