A baby boy was thrown from a car that crashed into a ditch near Shelton, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The crash was reported shortly after 10 p.m. on Klah Che Min Drive, eight miles south of Shelton.
Alicia Ilene Obi, 20, was driving a 1992 Acura Integra north on Klah Che Min Drive when she drove off the road to the right, hitting a ditch.
The crash turned the car 180 degrees, and the 10-month old boy was thrown from the car. The boy was taken to Mary Bridge Hospital in Tacoma.
Trooper Russ Winger said the child was in a car seat, but was not properly secured.
The cause of the crash is under investigation. Charges are pending, according to the email@example.com
