Do builders really care about defunding parks?

OlympiaAugust 15, 2013

On Aug. 10 the Capitol Land Trust held its 13th annual summer gala to celebrate collaborative and strategic conservation of southwest Washington’s essential natural areas and working lands.

On the same day, an article appeared in The Olympian announcing that Olympia Master Builders (Master Whiners) is asking the state to declare invalid Olympia City Council’s purchase of property on the isthmus between Capitol lake and Puget Sound for a park, thus returning some previously developed land back to open space to be used by the public.

I don’t believe the OMB cares about any other parks that had to be defunded. There is not one tree or blade of grass they would not like to see covered with a building.
