A home that burned during a fatal standoff in Hoquiam is being demolished.
KXRO reported that crews expected to remove what was left of the house Monday.
There was a 20-hour standoff at the home in March after the suspect, Rick or Rob Marlowe, slightly wounded a Hoquiam officer who tried to arrest him on a warrant from Sacramento accusing him of real estate fraud.
Marlowe retreated to the home, which was surrounded by a Thurston County SWAT team.
He finally appeared in a doorway with a gun and wearing a gas mask as the house started to burn.
Three Thurston County SWAT officers fired 33 shots. Marlowe was hit by 14 or 15 bullets.
