Robinson among Seahawks' cuts

Michael Robinson, a Pro Bowl fullback in 2011, was released by the Seattle Seahawks on Saturday.

Robinson is primarily a blocking back but has amassed 1,005 yards from scrimmage in his seven-year NFL career, spending the last three seasons with the Seahawks after a four-year stint in San Francisco.

In making final cuts, the club also released wide receivers Phil Bates, Arceto Clark, Chris Harper and Bryan Walters, tight ends Darren Fells, Cooper Helfet and Sean McGrath, guards Rishaw Johnson and Ryan Seymour and center/guard Jared Smith on the offensive side of the ball.

Defensive tackles Michael Brooks, Dewayne Cherrington, Jaye Howard and Sealver Siliga, linebacker Ty Powell and defensive backs Winston Guy, Ron Parker and DeShawn Shead were also let go.
