2012: 9-3, second in 3A Narrows, advanced to 3A state quarterfinals

 

Offense: Coordinator (set) -- Pete Smith (off-set I); returning starters -- 3

 

Top players: QB Ryan Mets, 6-1, 180, sr.; RB Hayden Maliska, 5-11, 185, sr.;

OL Alex Rice, 6-6, 315, sr.; RB Josh Ramirez, 5-10, 190, sr.

 

Defense: Coordinator (set) -- Randy Swilley (4-4); returning starters -- 2

Outlook: Patchin says Mets is one of the strongest arms in his 22-year tenure at North Thurston ... The Rams have noticeable size upfront, led by the college-sized Rice, who turned out for football as a sophomore in 2011. ... Swilley returns as an assistant coach at North Thurston after five years as Yelm’s head coach.
