Thurston County sheriff's investigating armed robbery on Eagle Drive

Staff writerSeptember 4, 2013

Sheriff's deputies are investigating a report of a man who was robbed at gunpoint early Wednesday morning at a party in the area of Eagle Drive off Marvin Road.

The victim said four or five men jumped him about 4 a.m., stole his cell phone, cash and other items, Thurston County Sheriff's Sgt. Ray Brady said. The victim, who suffered a broken nose and facial injuries in the assault, was not cooperating with the investigation however, Brady said.

Lacey police arrested two men in the area of Eagle Drive after 4 a.m. Wednesday who were armed with a handgun, Lacey Police Lt. Phil Comstock said. Comstock said the two men are felons and are not allowed to be in possession of a firearm.

The question of whether the two men arrested early Wednesday morning are linked to the robbery on Eagle Drive is under investigation, Brady and Comstock added.

Brady said detectives have found shell casings and other evidence of gunfire in the area of Eagle Drive, but there is no evidence that anyone was shot at.
