52 arrested in Thurston County during recent DUI emphasis patrols

There were 52 driving under the influence arrests in Thurston County during the recent Target Zero enforcement efforts between Aug. 16 and Sept. 2.

Chehalis Tribal police, Lacey, Olympia, Tumwater and Yelm police, the Thurston County Sheriff's Office and the Washington State Patrol all participated in the extra DUI patrols.

Statewide, about 1,420 drivers were arrested for DUI during the recent emphasis patrols. The extra patrols were funded by a grant from the Washington Traffic Safety Commission.
