JBLM will conduct day and night firing Tuesday through Thursday

Joint Base Lewis-McChord will conduct early morning through late-night firing of 155 mm Howitzers from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

The purpose of the training is to maintain unit proficiency. 

Increased levels of activity will first be noticed during the morning hours and will continue throughout the day and evening. Firing will be conducted from two different ranges on base. 

This is normally scheduled and required training.
