Public forum set in Olympia will answer questions about Affordable Care Act

OlympianSeptember 11, 2013

A public forum on healthcare intended to answer questions such as how to know if you are eligible for health coverage through the Exchange, and understanding what affect the Exchange will have on Medicare and Medicaid patients, will begin at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 19, at the Olympia Center, 222 Columbia St. NW.

Presented by Group Health, and co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Thurston County, the forum will help people understand how to use the new healthplanfinder, and what to do next if you are already enrolled in the Washington State Basic Health Plan.

Speakers will include Libby Weisdepp, from CHOICE Regional Health Network, Nathan Johnson, who is the division director, Health Care Policy, for Washington Health Care Authority, and Megan Howell, from Group Health Public Policy & Government Relations.

For information, call Cynthia Stewart, 360-413-1210.
