Shelter input welcome, unless it’s based on fear

OlympiaSeptember 13, 2013

There have been many letters expressing some very valid concerns about the proposed low barrier shelter. A number of public hearings have been held to find our what these concerns are and how best to address them.

Interfaith Works has put together an extensive report in an attempt to answer the questions that have come up, and to put to rest many of the fears that are not valid. They would be happy to share this information with anyone who is interested.

The intention is to take care of those less fortunate and to make a better, safer environment for our community. Public input is appreciated, as long as it isn’t merely fear based. A lot of effort and research has gone into this proposal.

Take some time to become informed, then present your suggestions. All helpful ideas are welcome.
