Lambs , frozen in their tracks by the predator like stare of Chime, a 9-year old border collie from Bend Oregon, try to figure their next move Saturday September 14, 2013 at the Vashon Sheepdog Classic 2013 National Herding Championships held at Misty Isle Farms. Chime, owned by Francis Chai, failed to herd the lambs into a pen during the alotted eleven and a half minutes but will compete on Sunday again with approximately 60 other sheep dogs. The event also includes shearing demonstrations, food and craft vendors and spinners weaving lambs wool into shawls. Proceeds benefit Vashon Youth Programs.
