Saint Martin's, Evergreen soccer players earn conference honors

Players from Evergreen's men's soccer team and Saint Martin's women's soccer team earned their respective conference's players of the week honors, as announced Monday.

 

For Evergreen, seniors Jeff Roland and Collin Harlow earned the Cascade Collegiate Conference's offensive and defensive player of the week honors, respectively after the Geoducks' earned their second shutout of the season Saturday, a 1-0 win nonconference win over Whitworth. Roland scored the game's lone goal in the third minute of the match, while Harlow made eight saves in goal to earn his second shutout of 2013.

 

Saint Martin's freshman Kelli Bannerman won the GNAC's offensive player of the week after notching a hat trick off the bench in a 4-0- win over Holy Names last Thursday. Bannerman is the second SMU player in program history with a hat trick, joining Jill Webb, who had three goals against Northwest Nazarene in 2008.
