The vacuum on sander prevented dust in harbor

SheltonSeptember 19, 2013

R egarding the comment by Kevin Farrell, in his letter concerning the Salish Sea, on the picture of the varnish work being done on the tugboat Sand Man, a sander with a vacuum attachment was in use. So, in fact, the dust was not going into the harbor. The board and volunteers of the Sand Man Foundation always try to keep their activities from impacting the surrounding water.
