Tenino police have arrested a 35-year-old man on suspicion of felony assault for allegedly punching a 27-year-old woman in the face early Sunday morning in front of the Eagles Lodge in the 300 block of Sussex Avenue.

The 35-year-old was arrested at his Tenino home Wednesday night, a news release states.

Tenino officers and Thurston County sheriff's deputies had responded to a large fight between 20 and 30 people in the Eagles Lodge parking lot Sunday morning, according to the release.

A 27-year-old woman from Lacey was found lying in the gravel parking lot in a pool of blood. She had suffered a broken nose and facial fractures. She was taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital, and later, to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The participants in the early Sunday morning fight ran away after police arrived, but through investigation, witnesses were located, leading to the identification of the male suspect. All of the participants in the fight had been drinking at the Eagles Lodge earlier that evening.
