Ron Lawson works hard, quick to respond in Lacey

LaceySeptember 29, 2013

Please join me in supporting Ron Lawson for re-election to the Lacey City Council. Lawson created or was influential in several projects and resolutions. He worked hard to resolve the Fire District 3 issue resulting in an 86 percent approval of citizens to have Fire District 3 annex Lacey into its district, saving Lacey $15 million and higher insurance rates. He created the Spirit of Lacey project to recognize citizens who have done outstanding things for others. He developed the 21-bed garden project at the Lacey and Tumwater Boys and Girls Club as well as the new 3-acre project for the Tolmie Cove Community Garden Association.

He also worked with City of Lacey staff and the Department of Ecology to establish water rights sufficient to provide for Lacey’s growth over the next 30 years. He voted to invest in new traffic management software to replace 1980s equipment not capable of dealing with today’s traffic problems, and he worked with the local jurisdictions including the Nisqually Indian Tribe to build a path to developing the Gateway project and other regional efforts. He is quick to respond to constituent inquiries or complaints and works hard to resolve difficult issues.
