Expect lane closures this week on Interstate-5 near Centralia

OlympianSeptember 30, 2013

Nighttime lane closures on Interstate-5, from Mellen Street to Blakeslee Junction, in Centralia will continue Monday through Thursday, while crews build support structures for the new bridge.

The State Dept. of Transportation will close ramps at Mellen Street and Harrison Avenue, and a single lane on I-5, from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night.

Closure details:

On Sept. 30 and Oct. 1:  The right lane of northbound I-5, and the off-ramp from nothbound I-5 to Mellen Street.

Oct. 1-2: Right lane of southbound I-5, and the on-ramp from Harrison Avenue to southbound I-5.

Oct. 2-3: Right lane of southbound I-5, and the on-ramp from Mellen Street to southbound I-5.

Crews working overnight Oct. 2 will complete work at Harrison Avenue before beginning work at Mellens Street so those interchanges will not be closed simultaneously.
