Three finalists announced for Olympia parks director

The city of Olympia has narrowed the field to three finalists for the director of the city’s parks department.


According to a news release, they are:


- Craig Bronzan, Director of Parks and Recreation for Brentwood, Calif.


- David Fair, Director of Parks, Cemetery and Recreation for Post Falls, Idaho.


- Paul Simmons, Director of Parks and Recreation for the city of Cheney.


The public can meet the candidates at an open house from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at The Olympia Center, 222 Columbia St. NW, Room A.


More than 200 people applied for the position, formerly held by Linda Oestreich, who stepped down in July.
