Oct. 7 is deadline to update voter registration

OlympianOctober 3, 2013

Voters who have moved or changed their names have until Oct. 7 to update their voter registration for the Nov. 5 general election.

Residents can register to vote or update their registration in person at the Thurston County Auditor's Office, online at www.ThurstonVotes.org, or by mail, as long as the registration form is completed online, or postmarked by Oct. 7. Registered voters who are unable to update their registration by Oct. 7, can vote based on their previously registered address.

Thurston County residents who are not currently registered in Washington State, and miss the online or mail-in deadline may register in person at the Thurston County Auditor's Office by 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28.

The Auditor's office is located at the Thurston County Courthouse, Building 1, 2000 Lakeridge Drive SW, Olympia, WA 98502.

You can find out your registration status, by calling the Elections Division, at 360-786-5408, or visit the website.
