LACEY: Education foundation organizes fundraiser

The North Thurston Education Foundation will host a fundraiser luncheon from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at Saint Martin’s University’s Worthington Center, 5300 Pacific Ave. SE, Lacey.

The nonprofit gives assistance grants to students in need. It also awards scholarships to graduating seniors and provides grants to help teachers.

Timberline High School choir teacher Terry Shaw, who also is founder and director of the Olympia Choral Society, will give the keynote speech at the event.
