North Thurston School Board has scheduled a public hearing at 7:25 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the John W. Gott Adminstrative Center, 305 College St. NE, Lacey, and will be followed by a regular school board meeting.
The purpose of the hearing is to gather input on the proposed sale of 2.93 acres of surplus property along the northwest corner of 41st Avenue Northeast and Marvin Road Northeast, Olympia.
The City of Lacey wants to purchase the property to construct, operate and maintain a municipal well at the site. The purchase price, which includes land and timber, is $117,113.50 according to documents provided to the School Board.
The proposed well site is currently part of 72.09 acres of property that the school district plans to develop as a future middle or high school campus.
