Alexander is dedicated to fair public service

OlympiaOctober 19, 2013

Gary Alexander has been in public service in Thurston County since his days as Port of Olympia commissioner in the 1990s, leading to his service as a representative in the Legislature ever since. In this capacity, he is the senior financial member on the House budget committee, and also doubled in this financial capacity as deputy auditor under Sam Reed and Kim Wyman, (who both endorse him) leading to his appointed position as Thurston County auditor now.

In his various positions Alexander has been known to be a bridge working with both sides of the aisle, and continues in that respect now. He has not resorted to negative campaigning, a trait desired and respected in Thurston. We need to continue the heritage of a fair election system as well as strong financial leadership in our county.

The Olympian is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
