Gunn would add values to the port commission

OlympiaOctober 20, 2013

The Port of Olympia’s strategic plan lists the values the port is supposed to be committed to. Among those are: 1. Environmental stewardship; 2. Sustainable economic growth. How do those values fit in with some of the major work of the port this list year: 1. Bring in proppants from China for fracking for oil and gas production in upper Midwest; and 2. Raw log export overseas?

How much accountability does the port really have to us in what they do? If we are to have accountability and the values of environmental stewardship and sustainable economic growth, I am convinced we need to elect Sue Gunn to the Port Commission.
