Celebration will honor Olympia educator, regional Teacher of the Year

A celebration for Washington State Teacher of the Year finalist Laura Currie will be from 6:15 to 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 29, in the multi-purpose room at Centennial Elementary School, 2737 45th Ave. SE, Olympia.

Currie didn’t win the state title, but she will continue to represent Educational Service District 113, known as the Capital Region, as its Teacher of the Year.

ESD 113 offers services to 44 school districts, Head Start programs and private schools in Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific and Thurston counties.
