Union members who have voted to strike will vote next week to ratify or reject a tentative agreement announced on Monday following talks between affected unions and four area grocery chains.
Members of Pierce County Local 367 of the United Food and Commercial Workers will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at the Hotel Murano in downtown Tacoma.
Voting will be held in two sessions: between 8 a.m. and noon and again between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Olympia-area members of UFCW Locals 21 and 367 will meet Wednesday at Southsound Manor in Tumwater during the same time periods. Other meetings will be held in Bellevue, Seattle, Bremerton and Everett on Tuesday, and in Sea-Tac and again in Everett on Wednesday.
“Members can come by at any time during the scheduled times to review the contract offer and get questions answered before casting their vote,” said Tom Geiger, union spokesman, in a statement released late Thursday afternoon.
