Mills presents opportunity to elect a rare city leader

OlympiaOctober 27, 2013

Bestselling author Dr. Spencer Johnson states that, “Integrity is telling myself the truth. And honesty is telling the truth to other people.” It is rare to find a truly honest person, particularly one with political aspirations.

When I met Darren Mills over 20 years ago, he was highly enthusiastic and passionate about his career as a stylist, his aspirations in theater costuming, and his growing interest in giving back to his community. Over the years, I have heard Darren express excitement about his work with Harlequin, his leadership of POSSCA (Patrons of South Sound Community Arts) and his genuine interest and tireless hard work in helping all of the citizens of Olympia.

Darren is highly educated and keenly informed about all issues and opportunities facing the city. He listens, he cares, and he is not afraid to speak the truth. He intently researches issues, creatively and collaboratively offering potential solutions that will meet the needs of many.

Olympia, you do have a rare opportunity to vote for and elect a leader of high integrity, high energy and endless passion. Carefully ponder this opportunity and the positive difference your vote would make.
