Level 3 sex offender registers as transient in Olympia and Grapeview areas

The Mason County Sheriff's Office has issued a general notification regarding level 3 sex offender, Ronald Allen Long, 37, a transient sex offender who has registered to live in the areas of Olympia and Grapeview.

According to the notification:

Long is required to register as a sex offender for multiple sex crime convictions. Those convictions include:

On Feb. 8, 1993, Long was found guilty in Thurston County Superior Court of 1st degree child molestation. The conviction stems from when Long, at 12 years old, sexually molested a nine year old girl, and a seven year old boy.

On Feb. 14, 1995, Long pleaded guilty in Thurston County Superior Court to 1st degree child molestation. The conviction stems from when Long was 17, he molested a 10 year old girl.

During a polygraph examination conducted in 1993, Long disclosed that between the ages of 11 and 16, he molested at least nine victims, ages two through 30, as well as peeping on at least four victims.

Based on Long's offense convictions against young children, and his self-disclosure of numerous victims known to him, as well as unknown, Long is considered very high risk.

Ronald Allen Long is describes as a white male, 6 feet and 185 lbs., with blond hair and blue eyes.
