It’s time to remove the “interim” from Cliff Moore’s title.
After a national search, the Thurston County Commissioners named Cliff Moore as the new county manager last week.
He has served as interim county manager since Aug. 16 when former county manager Don Krupp left for an administrator job in Clackamas County, Ore.
“Cliff brings a depth of experience in both international and educational settings to the job, and he also has a wealth of experience when it comes to the inner workings of the county organization,” Thurston County chair Sandra Romero said in a news release. “I’m confident that together we will continue the smooth transition already in motion. We’re very happy to have Cliff on the team and look forward to working with him.”
Before taking the county’s helm, Moore was director of its Resource Stewardship Department which oversees staff in recreation, storm water, noxious weeds, laud use and permitting, as well as the county fair and the WSU Extension office. Before that, he was director of the WSU Thurston County Extension office for six years.
