Pedestrian hit by car on SR 510 northwest of Yelm

A pedestrian was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center with serious facial injuries Sunday after being hit by a car on state Route 510 northwest of Yelm, according to the State Patrol.

The pedestrian, an Olympia man, was at fault for the crash that happened just before 6:30 p.m., trooper Guy Gill said.

It happened in front of the Red Wind Casino, he said.

He reported that the pedestrian was wearing dark clothing.

The driver was not impaired, Gill said.
