Fire causes estimated $80,000 damage to Olympia home

Olympia firefighters responded  around 11 p.m. Sunday, to a house fire at 1630 Conger Ave. NW, after multiple calls to dispatch reporting fire coming from the roof of the home.

 

Crews arrived and found fire throughout the attic of the house, extending into the living space. Residents of the home had evacuated and no injuries were reported to residents or firefighters.

 

Response included four Olympia engine companies, on ladder company, two medic units and a command unit. The fire was under control in about 20 minutes.

 

Units remain on the scene to complete overhaul and begin an investigation into the cause of the fire.

 

Property damage and loss is estimated at $80,000.
