Seahawks' Browner sidelined until at least mid-December

Renton, WA (SportsNetwork.com) - Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said cornerback Brandon Browner could be sidelined for most of the remainder of the regular season with a groin injury.

Browner missed this past Sunday's game against Minnesota because of the problem. He was hurt in Week 10 against Atlanta and was further examined on Monday.

"He's got a serious groin pull," said Carroll on Monday. "It's legit. It's not just a pulled muscle. He had some tissue damage and stuff. So it's a severe groin pull. They're talking four to six weeks, at best."

The 10-1 Seahawks have their bye this week and won't play again until Dec. 2 against New Orleans.

Browner also missed the first two games of the season with a hamstring injury. He has one interception and 19 tackles in eight games.
