Tuesday morning fire destroys Tumwater home

November 26, 2013 

Firefighters from four local fire departments were dispatched to a stucture fire just before 9 a.m. Tuesday, in the 7700 block of Prine Drive southwest, in Tumwater.

Crews found a single-wide mobile home fully engulfed in fire when they arrived. The residents were at home at the time of the fire, but were able to escape without injuries. 

The home and its contents were heavily damaged by the fire.

A total of 20 firefighters were at the scene, with crews from West Thurston, Tumwater Fire Dept., East Olympia Fire Dist. 6, and McLane/Black Lake Fire Dept. Crews from West Thurston remain on the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
