Thurston County sheriff’s deputies were looking for a suspect in an alleged stabbing Friday night at a residence in the 300 block of Nisqually Cutoff Road Southeast.

The suspect is Shawn Foley, deputies said Monday.

According to sheriff’s Sgt. Kevin Slease:

About 11 p.m. Friday, deputies were dispatched to the scene of a stabbing between a man, thought to be in his 50s, and his ex-girlfriend, thought to be in her 40s.

After an argument, the man allegedly stabbed the woman six times with a small pocket knife. Another woman who tried to intervene was struck with a flashlight.

Both were taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.

Slease said the stabbing victim had non-life-threatening wounds, while the woman who got hit with the flashlight had a possible broken arm.

The suspect was still at large Saturday. He is described as white, 5 feet 11 and heavily built.
