Thurston County Sheriff's deputies arrest residential burglary suspect

Staff writerDecember 3, 2013

A homeowner in the 11500 block of Nisqually Park Loop SE interrupted a burglary at his home about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday and called 911, leading to the arrest of one suspect.

Responding law enforcement used a K9 unit to track two suspects. The homeowner had reported that the suspects fled through a back door and ran into the woods.

Sheriff's deputies arrested one of the two fleeing suspects, who was found hiding in some brush in a nearby neighborhood east of Durgin Road SE. Deputies recovered property that had been stolen from the residence.

The second suspect has not been located.

The 44-year-old suspect was booked into the Thurston County Jail Tuesday on suspicion of residential burglary and second-degree theft.

Officers with the Lacey Police Department and the Washington State Patrol assisted the Thurston County Sheriff's Office.
