There will be just one Parade of Lighted Ships in Budd Inlet this year, and it will be at 6 p.m. Saturday.

This year’s theme for the Olympia Yacht Club event is “Winter Wonderland.” All boaters are welcome to participate; registration is from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Yacht Club.

The parade leaves from the Yacht Club at 201 Simmons St NW, Olympia, next to Bayview Thriftway, and heads up past the Judge Boat at the Port Plaza. The parade then will head out to Boston Harbor along the east shore and head back along the west shore of Budd Inlet. For more information, contact Susie Zuelke at szuelke@comcast.net or 360-943-5547.

The Olympian is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news.
