Littlerock business a total loss in Thursday morning fire

OlympianDecember 5, 2013

A Littlerock business was destroyed by fire early Thursday morning after neighbors called 911 just before 4:30 a.m. to report the fire, which was already fully involved, according to a press release from West Thurston Regional Fire Authority.

Crews from West Thurston Regional Fire Authority responded to Aldean's Taxidermy and found the fire had extended to a pickup truck parked next to the building on Palermo Drive Southwest, off of Littlerock Road. Additional crews were called in from East Olympia Fire District #6 and McLane/Black Lake Fire to assist on the scene.

The release said the building and the truck were a total loss.

Twenty firefighters from three departments responded, and West Thurston crews remain at the scene.

The fire is under investigation and no injuries were reported.
