Fire damages home southwest of Littlerock

Fire damaged a home near Littlerock early Sunday morning.

WEST THURSTON REGIONAL FIRE AUTHORITY

A fired damaged a home in the 13900 block of Vue St. S.W. near Littlerock early Sunday morning.

According to the West Regional Fire Authority:

About 3:40 a.m. Sunday, fire crews were alerted after the occupants of the house were awakened by smoke and discovered fire coming from the laundry room.

The fire damaged attic space, the laundry room, one wall of a bedroom, plus smoke and soot damaged most of the second floor and part of the first floor of the house.

One occupant was treated and released at the scene for smoke inhalation and a burn to the hand. No other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

A total of 30 firefighters from six departments, including crews from West Thurston, responded to the fire.
