After being held without a third-quarter field goal and trailing by seven entering the fourth quarter, Olympia rallied for a 39-32 girls basketball win over Gig Harbor in the 4A Narrows League. Mackenzie Cooper and Nicole Fesenbek each had 10 points for the Bears.
Callan Russell’s game-high 20 points weren’t enough in Timberline’s 61-53 loss to Wilson in 3A Narrows League boys play.
Hayley Niles’ 16 points helped North Thurston beat Foss, 41-20, for its third girls basketball win in four games.
In 4A Narrows League boys basketball, Mitch Fettig (19 points), Ben Bishop (11) and Max Fortier (10) scored in double figures, but Olympia fell to 0-2 in league with a 64-59 loss to Gig Harbor.
Wes Reynolds scored 17 points and was one of three North Thurston players to reach double figures in a 70-58 loss to Foss.
