Jazmine Davis scored 30 points, including six 3-pointers, as the Huskies (5-3) beat the Warhawks (4-6), 81-77, at the Duel in the Desert tournament Thursday in Las Vegas.
UW survived foul trouble in the second half and a 12-0 run by Louisiana-Monroe that left the Warhawks one point behind with 4:14 to play. But Kelsey Plum converted a three-point play for the Huskies, and a Davis 3-pointer and layup helped UW get some breathing room.
The Huskies will face DePaul on Friday and Pittsburgh on Saturday.
Saint Mary’s 71, at USC 55: Cassie Harberts had 17 points and 12 rebounds, but the Trojans (5-5) couldn’t overcome the Gaels (9-1) and their scoring tandem of Kate Gaze (22 points) and Jackie Nared (21).
Creighton 70, Oregon State 62: Jamie Weisner had 20 points and 11 rebounds, but the Beavers (6-3) couldn’t erase a 14-point halftime deficit in falling to the Bluejays (5-5) at the Duel in the Desert.

D’Vonne Pickett Jr. sank the go-ahead layup with 21 seconds left, and Isiah Umipig padded the lead from the free throw line as Seattle University came back to beat Norfolk State (8-4), 60-67, at the ShoWare College Classic in Kent.
Trailing most of the game, Seattle (8-3) mounted its final push with a 10-0 spurt propelled by an Umipig free throw with barely two minutes left to make it 67-61.
Umipig, who finished with 18 points, closed out the game by hitting two of his six free throws. Deshaun Sunderhaus contributed 18 points for Seattle, while Clarence Trent, who attended Gig Harbor High, added 17.
At No. 1 Arizona 69, Southern 43: Aaron Gordon scored 21 points, Nick Johnson added 17, and the undefeated Wildcats opened their second week at No. 1 by routing the Jaguars (3-8).
Arizona went 22 of 37 on free throws, but it was good enough to move the Wildcats to 12-0.
No. 8 Duke 80, UCLA 63: Jabari Parker had 23 points and 10 rebounds, and the Blue Devils (9-2) went 11 of 32 from 3-point range to beat the Bruins (9-2) at Madison Square Garden.
David Wear led UCLA with 16 points. Kyle Anderson added 15 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.
At Utah 69, Texas State 50: Brandon Taylor scored 18 points, and Jordan Loveridge had 14 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Utes (10-1) past the Bobcats (3-8). Utah held Texas State to 38.3 percent shooting (18 of 47).
