Man dies in log truck crash in Capitol State Forest

A Hoquiam man died in a log truck crash on a forest service road in the Capitol State Forest, State Patrol Trooper Guy Gill tweeted about 4:30 p.m. Monday.

Michael J. Webber, 37,  drove off the roadway and hit a tree and a stump, according to police reports. No other vehicles were involved.

Webber was driving north on KC Line Road, one mile south of State Route 8, according to the state patrol.

What caused the crash is still being investigated.
