Lacey residential fire under investigation; nobody hurt

Staff reportDecember 25, 2013

Damage was estimated at about $50,000 in a Christmas Day fire in Lacey. The cause was under investigation, according to officials from Lacey Fire District 3.

Firefighters responded to a house fire in the 9000 block of Autumn Line Loop Southeast about 4:12 p.m. Wednesday.

Initially, firefighters found heavy smoke and entered the home to extinguish the fire and verify that no one was trapped inside. Fire officials said damage from the flames was limited to a single room but that smoke and heat damage was found throughout the residence.

There were no injuries, officials said.
